LONDON (ShareCast) - Keller Group dropped sharply despite the group delivering a trading update in line with expectations for the period from 1 July to 16 November. However, investors were concerned by the difficult conditions in European markets and weakness in Australia.
Mitie's shares took a knock after the support service group unveiled exceptional charges of £45.7m in its asset management business and plans to exit its mechanical and electrical engineering construction operation. The stock dropped after the company assessed all remaining risk on the design and build contracts left in its asset management business, revealing it incurred exceptional charges of £45.7m.
Diploma dipped after reporting a £17.7m reduction in revenue thanks to the affect of currency translation.
On the upside, phone and broadband provider TalkTalk cheered with a new multi-year commercial deal with Telefónica UK, giving the group access to its 2G, 3G and 4G services in the UK. TalkTalk said the agreement with the owner of O2 will allow it to give its 4m consumer and business broadband customers a high quality mobile service and "materially advance" its plans to build a scale and profitable quad-play business over the medium term.
