LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Facilities management company Mitie said first quarter trading was in line with expectations and full year guidance remained unchanged.
Mitie said that while it was on-track with its 'Project Helix' transformation plan, initiatives to improve customer service and upfront overhead costs, meant that underlying first quarter profit was slightly down year on year.
It added that unaudited group revenue was up 5.5% to at £535m, with "good momentum" building in security and engineering Services.
Recent contract wins included a major grocery retailer, a high-street chemist and a major on-line distribution company, together with a three year extension at Heathrow Airport Group, the company added.
