LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Newmark Security has entered into a development and commercial partnership with US-based UniKey Technologies Inc to develop its access control technology and provide new products.
The partnership was via AIM-listed Newmark's UK-based security and attendance solutions provider, Grosvenor Technology.

UniKey's patented and proprietary 'CORE' platform provides a "frictionless at door experience" for the end user, said Newmark.

"It is anticipated that Grosvenor Technology's first products incorporating UniKey's technology will be seen later in 2017," it added.

Chief executive Marie-Claire Dwek was upbeat about the advantage UniKey would bring to Grosvenor Technology compared to its peers in several strategically important markets.

"This technology leap will bring further differentiation to both our Access Control and Workforce Management products and is expected to accelerate our growth of recurring revenue," said the CEO.

"It's a key step on our journey towards being an 'as a service' provider."

At 14:16 BST, shares in Newmark were up 5.46% to 1.45p each.
