LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Thor Mining released uranium drilling results from the recently-completed programme at its wholly-owned Wedding Bell and Radium Mountain projects in Colorado on Wednesday.
The AIM-traded firm said initial drilling confirmed the high uranium prospectivity of the projects.

It said the key intersections at Groundhog included 2.1 metres at 0.036% triuranium octoxide from 85 metres, including 0.3 metres at 0.14% triuranium octoxide, as well as 1.2 metres at 0.034% triuranium octoxide from 78 metres, including 0.5 metres at 0.5% triuranium octoxide.

At Rim Rock, it reported 0.3 metres at 0.072% triuranium octoxide from 59.7 metres.

Meanwhile at Section 23, it highlighted 0.5 metres at 0.051% triuranium octoxide from 102.6 metres, 0.6 metres at 0.021% triuranium octoxide from 92.4 metres, and 0.5 metres at 0.03% triuranium octoxide from 100 metres.

"As the first company to access and drill test this highly prospective area, the intersection of uranium bearing reduced sandstones at the newly tested Section 23 prospect is exciting to see, as is the continuity of high-grades along strike of historic workings at both at Rim Rock and Groundhog," said managing director Nicole Galloway Warland.

"We look forward to updating shareholders further on these promising US assets."

At 1320 GMT, shares in Thor Mining were down 7.54% at 0.3p.
