LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Security and surveillance systems group Petards announced on Wednesday that wholly-owned subsidiary QRO Solutions had been awarded a contract with Northamptonshire Police.
Petards said the contract, worth £823,000 to the group, would see it provide an enhanced and extended fixed ANPR camera infrastructure on many strategic arterial and rural roads within the county.
The AIM-listed group added that delivery and installation would commence immediately, with the bulk of the contract being completed in the first half of 2021.
Chairman Raschid Abdullah said: "That QRO has been selected by Northamptonshire Police for this prestige contract reflects well on the company, its service and its management.
"Further, the order adds significantly to next year's order book for the group."
As of 0920 GMT, Petards shares had shot up 12.12% to 9.11p.
