Avingtrans subsidiary lands largest ever contract with Korean energy supplier

By Duncan Ferris

Date: Wednesday 21 Feb 2018

LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Avingtrans announced on Wednesday that its subsidiary company Hayward Tyler has won a $6.7m contract with a leading South Korean energy supplier.
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) has been supplied with pumps and spare parts by Hayward Tyler for 40 years but this latest order is the largest KNHP has ever received from the company.

Mike Turmelle, managing director of Hayward Tyler, said: "This is a significant order for Hayward Tyler in the nuclear energy market. KHNP is a highly valued existing client and the size of this contract confirms HT's strong credentials in international energy markets."

KNHP is responsible for approximately 40% of South Korea's electric power and operates over 20 nuclear plants.

"This important customer's commitment is a testament to the expertise and hard work of the HT team, while large contracts such as this continue to underline HT's status as a world class business in the international nuclear market," said Turmelle.

Hayward Tyler designs, manufactures and services performance-critical electric motors and pumps for applications in the global energy industry.

At 1639 GMT, Avingtrans shares were up 7.45% at 223.50p.
