LONDON (ShareCast) - - Third quarter revenue boosted by acquisitions
- Growth across all divisions
- In line to meet full-year guidance

Information and education provider Wilmington said contributions from recent acquisitions helped increase third quarter revenue and continues in line for full-year targets.

The group, which provides information, compliance and education to professional markets, said group revenue during the period from January 1st to the end of March 2014 rose 5% from the equivalent period last year.

"During the three month period, we have continued to see good growth in underlying operating profits and margins across all the business divisions except, as previously indicated, in our Legal division which continues to face challenging market conditions," Wilmington explained.

Its Pensions & Insurance division delivered good revenue and contribution growth during the period while its Banking & Compliance division benefited from strong revenue growth.

Healthcare enjoyed a strong performance, as did Accountancy, while Legal and Business Intelligence both suffered from weak demand.

The group, which generates an increasing proportion of its income from overseas markets, said the recent strengthening of the pound, in particular against the US dollar, has had a small negative effect on its results.
