LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Printing business Xaar has appointed former Kodak vice-president Shomit Kenkare to its board to fill the vacant role of chief financial officer.
Kenkare, who will take over as CFO on 15 November, initially joined Xaar as head of corporate development in June. Since then, he has led the Xaar's strategic partnerships and M&A activities, including supporting its joint investment partnership with Stratasys.
Before joining Xaar, Kenkare held a number of senior global financial and management roles at Kodak. Kenkare spent the last nine of his twenty years running Kodak's Enterprise Inkjet, Software and Solutions, and Advanced Materials and Micro 3D Printing divisions, where he was responsible for developing and implementing the financial strategy of businesses in both growth and maturity phases.
Chief executive Doug Edwards, said: "With his extensive global industry experience and exceptional financial credentials, I have no doubt that Shomit's knowledge and strategic insight will be of immense value to the group."
As of 1320 BST, Xaar shares had slipped 0.62% to 145p.
