LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Sports marketing firm Catalyst Media's portfolio business Sports Information Services acquired a 20.54% interest in virtual horse racing operator 49's on Monday.
After reaching an agreement with co-owners GVC and William Hill, SIS will take ownership of 49's daily live draws and virtual horse racing brands Portman Park, Sprint Valley and Steepledowns, as well as virtual greyhound races from Brushwood and Millersfield.
The AIM-listed firm said SIS' acquisition of 49's was "a perfect strategic fit" for the operation's "ever-expanding product portfolio", stating the brand fit within its existing 24/7 racing channels.
In addition, Catalyst said SIS would be developing a range of new numbers and virtual content, which will sit under the 49's brand umbrella.
As of 1050 BST, Catalyst shares were up 2.80% at 55p.
