LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Gold miner SolGold revealed on Tuesday that Darryl Cuzzubbo had been tapped to take over as chief executive officer, effective 1 December.
SolGold noted that Cuzzubbo had "extensive executive leadership experience" in the global resources sector, with the group's new CEO most recently acting as chief manufacturing and supply officer at Orica, which he joined after a 24-year career with BHP.
The AIM-listed group also highlighted that Cuzzubbo had experience in running operations across over 30 countries.
Chairman Liam Twigger said "I am delighted to welcome Darryl as CEO of SolGold following an extensive global search where we were fortunate to be able to consider several high calibre candidates.
"On behalf of the board, I am confident that Darryl with his deep commercial, operations and project delivery experience is the best person to lead this organisation forward in order to realise the best potential of SolGold."
As of 0940 GMT, SolGold shares were up 0.96% at 26.35p.
