LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Gold producer and exporter Galantas Gold Corporation has filed a technical report around underground exploration on its 100%-owned gold mine near Omagh, Northern Ireland, it announced on Wednesday.
The AIM-traded firm had said on 24 April that the report details a recent probe drilling campaign carried out underground at Omagh.
It said the results of the campaign, combined with detailed mapping of the exposed mineralisation underground, suggested zones of a higher width of mineralisation within the vein, linking adjacent levels.
"The results support a model that such zonal mineralisation may continue at depth, with enhanced exploration potential for targeting gold resources on site and within the company's license area," the board said in its statement.
"The technical report details the geological information earlier summarised in a 16 January release."
At 1304 BST, shares in Galantas Gold Corporation were up 4.26% at 11.99p.
