LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - The new US president called on the main pharmaceuticals firms to boost their production in the US and decrease their prices.
At a meeting with the chiefs of Novartis, Merck&Co., Johnson&Johnson, Celgene, Eli Lilly and Amgen, Donald Trump also promised to accelerate the approval process times for new drugs.
Also present on Tuesday was the head of the sector's main lobby group, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.
