LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Fuel cells producer Proton Motor Power Systems said on Monday that it had received an order for its newly released PM Frame product.
Proton Motor said the contract would see PM Frame, an uninterruptible power supply unit, installed within road tunnels in order to provide power in the event of an accident or grid failure.
The AIM-listed group highlighted that the initial one unit order was just the first of a potential of 300 units from the mystery customer.
Chief executive Dr Faiz Nahab said: "This is excellent news for Proton illustrating demand for hydrogen fuel cells to provide stand by clean hydrogen driven energy instead of diesel within the road infrastructure segment."
As of 1050 GMT, Proton shares were up 1.89% at 54.0p.
