LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Chipmaker Nvidia has offered concessions as part of an effort to lock in EU antitrust approval for its $54.0bn acquisition of UK firm Arm.
The European Commission, which did not provide any details in regards to the concessions, set a deadline of 27 October for its decision and will now look to gain feedback from rivals and customers before ruling whether or not to accept Nvidia's concessions, demand further concessions or commence a four-month-long investigation.

Nvidia has vowed to allow Arm to remain as a neutral technology supplier as it looks to quash concerns from customers like Qualcomm, Samsung and Apple.

Customers of Arm, which designs power almost every smartphone and on the market, Broadcom, MediaTek and Marvell have all voiced their support for the deal.

As of 1445 BST, Nvidia shares were up 0.054% at $204.62 each.
