RBC Capital downgrades Wizz Air, slashes price target after results

(Sharecast News) - RBC Capital Markets downgraded Wizz Air to 'sector perform' from 'outperform' on Friday and slashed the price target to 1,500p from 2,400p, saying it was "throwing in the towel" after the airline's full-year results.

(Sharecast News) - Shares in Wizz Air nosedived on Thursday as operating profits came in lower than expected with the budget carrier blaming plane groundings due to a long-running engine issue which hit capacity along with higher costs.

(Sharecast News) - Low-cost carrier Wizz Air said on Tuesday that it had seen a "very encouraging" increase in passenger numbers during May, particularly given the timing of Easter the month before.
