LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Hiscox was at the top of the list of director buys on Thursday, after its chairman picked up 20,000 shares on the open market.
The company said Jonathan Bloomer bought the shares on 9 August, in a single transaction on the London Stock Exchange.

He paid 1,051p for each share, valuing the transaction at £210,200.

On the selling side of the ledger was Origin Enterprises, after one of its non-executive directors transferred shares into an individual savings account (ISA).

The firm said Christopher Richards sold 4,275 shares from his dealing account on 9 August, with his ISA purchasing the same number of shares.

Richards sold the shares for €3.24 each, valuing that side of the transaction at €13,851, while his ISA paid €3.247 for each share, giving that side of the equation a value of €13,880.93.

At the close on Thursday, shares in Hiscox were up 2.77% at 1,075p, while those in Origin Enterprises were 3.03% weaker at €3.20.
