LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Inspired Energy was celebrating on Friday, after energy consultancy Cornwall Insight ranked it as the leading third party intermediary in the industrial and commercial sector index rankings for the first quarter.
The AIM-traded firm noted it was also referenced as a "strong influencer" in the consolidation of the industrial and commercial third party intermediary market, with the recent acquisitions of ECM and SystemsLink highlighted.

It added that further "strong endorsement" was highlighted as Inspired featured in the top five of third party intermediaries which meet supplier needs "best".

The report was reportedly based on the opinions of business energy suppliers, which Inspired said reinforced its "strong positioning" within the third party intermediary market, and that its development and growth strategy was "well received".

"Third party intermediaries are responding to rising competition across the market through transactions, better technology and utilising their expertise beyond the transactional nature of brokering energy supply contracts," commented Cornwall Insight CEO Gareth Miller.

"Following its recent acquisitions and wider market activity, Inspired Energy has been successful in moving to first place in our first quarter 2018 industrial and commercial third party intermediary index."
