LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Itaconix has received its first order from a second European customer for its 'CHT 122' bio-based detergent ingredient, it announced on Tuesday.
The AIM-traded firm said that, similar to its announcement in May of its first European customer for CHT 122, the new customer was using the polymer as a key ingredient in a new non-phosphate detergent.
It said CHT 122 and the recently-announced 'TSI 322' allow formulators to meet increasing consumer and commercial demands for sustainable products, without compromising on cost or performance.
"The European non-phosphate detergent market offers a substantial new revenue opportunity for us," said chief executive officer John Shaw.
"Every new customer further validates this opportunity for our ingredients to provide the foundation for a new generation of safer detergent products setting new standards for performance, value and sustainability."
At 1240 GMT, shares in Itaconix were up 6.64% at 1.92p.
