LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Nano materials developer Haydale Graphene Industries has signed a collaboration deal with engineering materials group Versarien.
Under the agreement, the two groups will work on their product portfolios by developing solutions for the manufacturing of graphene on a large scale aimed at mass-produced commercial applications.
"We believe this to be a significant step forward," said Neill Ricketts, Versarien's chief executive.
"We will be working together with Haydale to best achieve the great global opportunity we have in front of both of us in the form of graphene."
His words were echoed by Haydale's chief executive Ray Gibbs, who highlighted the importance of having a strong presence in the market.
"It is important we have a credible graphene presence to take to a global market that is still evaluating the materials available before embarking on procurement of commercial volumes," he said.
As of 10:11 on Monday, Haydale shares were flat at 125.50p, while Versarien shares were up 1.35% to 18.75p.
