LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - International software firm Oxford Metrics on Thursday expanded its board to four members with the appointment of David Quantrell to the role of non-executive director with immediate effect.
The AIM traded company said Quantrell has more than three decades of experience in senior management roles in the software industry, including being vice president and general manager of EMEA at global software company Clarify.
Quantrell helped build the business until its sale to Nortel Networks where he then took the role of EMEA president of the company's eBusiness division.
Roger Parry, chairman of Oxford Metrics, said: "This appointment further strengthens our non-executive representation - David has substantial experience in senior management roles at a variety of global software companies. That experience will be invaluable to Oxford Metrics as we look to continue to grow our SaaS customer base and expand internationally."
Quantrell has also served as EMEA president of divisions at HP Software and McAfee, and was most recently senior vice president at cloud storage company Box.
Currently, he acts as an adviser to a number of privately owned cloud software providers in the UK and the US.
"Having held senior leadership roles at Box, HP Software and McAfee, I hope to bring my experience to bear, as the group continues to grow into an international software business," said Quantrell.
As of 1146 BST, Oxford Metrics' shares were up 0.65% at 77.50p.
