(Sharecast News) - Euronext is open to scooping up the London stock market should the latter be placed on the auction block. The comments by Euronext boss Stephane Boujnah follow a recent offer by his firm to acquire the Athens Stock Exchange. It also comes in the wake of a takeover frenzy in the City. (Sharecast News) - London Stock Exchange Group shares were in the red on Thursday morning, even after it reported a robust set of interim results for the six months ended 30 June, with strong growth across all business divisions and a significant increase in profitability.
