LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Epwin's encouraging start to the year has continued amid a strong performance from its Window Systems business, the company told investors on Tuesday.
The manufacturer and supplier of PVC windows, doors and fascia systems said the Windows Systems business has continued to win new customers, helping to drive a performance that is consistent with meeting market expectations for 2019.
Other developments include the on-track integrations of Amicus distribution and PVS decking acquisitions, the launch of a new aluminium window system product and progress in the building of Epwin's new warehouse and finishing plant in Telford which remains on course to be operational in early 2020.
"The board retains its positive view of the medium-term prospect for the market given the continued under investment in RMI, strong new build demand and nascent demand in social housing markets. We look forward to updating shareholders further at the half year," said a statement from the company.
Epwin's shares were up 1.35% at 82.70p at 1017 BST.
