LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Communications firm Gamma Communications has shaken up its boardroom with two appointments aimed at strengthening and broadening the capacity of its executive management team.
Gamma said on Thursday that chief financial officer Andrew Belshaw will take over as deputy chief executive in May 2022, continuing to report to CEO Andrew Taylor, and taking on "a range of strategic and operational responsibilities", including overseeing aspects of product management, product development and operations and the execution of M&A.
Succeeding Belshaw will be William Castell, who will join the firm and its board of directors in May 2022 from OVO Energy.
Taylor said: "Strengthening the scope and capacity of our management team is an important part of our five-year growth strategy; and I am absolutely delighted that we have successfully attracted someone of Bill's quality and experience to take over from Andrew Belshaw as our CFO.
"The growth opportunities for Gamma are significant and in addition to doing a brilliant job as our CFO, Andrew has played a key role in both the development and operational implementation of our strategy. The appointment of Bill will allow Andrew to commit all of his time to further developing and executing our immediate and longer-term plans. This is a much-deserved promotion, and I am personally looking forward to working with Andrew in his new role."
As of 1115 GMT, Gamma shares were down 0.87% at 1,734.81p.
