LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - South32 director Ntombifuthi Mtoba acquired 15,481 ordinary shares in the London-listed mining and metals company on Monday.
Mtoba, who joined South32 in 2015, purchased the shares at an average price of 210.34p each, for a total value of £32,563.

South32 reported growth in earnings for the six months ended 31 December back in February, with its reported profit ahead 35% at $908m.

Revenue was 9% higher at $3.81bn, while its profit after tax improved 17% to $635m.

Basic earnings per share totalled 12.5 cents for the period, an increase of 19%, while the board confirmed a 19% uptick in ordinary dividends per share to 5.1 cents.

Special dividends per share were down 43% year-on-year at 1.7 cents, however.

As of 1620 BST, South32 shares had picked up 1.25% to 210.60p.
