LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Digital media and technology group Catenae Innovation said on Monday that it had begun trialling and finalisation of its new Cov-ID app.
Catenae has been working with a consortium led by Z/Yen Group to develop an operational prototype of a GDPR-compliant identity documentation exchange system that could be marketed to businesses.
While shares in the AIM-listed firm shot up in early trade, Catenae cautioned that although the prototype Cov-ID app had been developed, there was "no guarantee" that it would be finalised or enter the commercialisation stage.
Interim chief executive Guy Meyer said: "We are pleased with the progress made, especially by our technical teams. There is interest in our solution and we look forward to updating the market with progress in the near future."
As of 0840 BST, Catenae shares had surged 17.78% to 2.65p.
