LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Digital media and technology company Catenae Innovation has signed an agreement with Newcastle Premier Health (NPH), an occupational health and wellness business based in the north east of England, it announced on Friday.
The AIM-traded firm said that, under the terms of the agreement, NPH would provide its know-how to the 'Cov-ID' project - a GDPR-compliant identity documentation exchange system to record an individual's Covid-19 test status through a mobile app, that was intended to be marketed to businesses and organisations.
As Catenae had previously announced, the Cov-ID project is a joint initiative by a consortium of companies led by the Z/Yen Group.
NPH had agreed to pilot the Cov-ID app, which was expected to begin on Friday.
"We are delighted that occupational health and wellness business, Newcastle Premier Health, will pilot the company's Cov-ID mobile app technology on a selection of its employees in its efforts to return to work safely," said interim chief executive officer Guy Meyer.
"Upon publication of a proof of concept, which is expected to take place within the next few weeks, the app will be available to be rolled out to benefit businesses and organisations as current restrictions begin to ease.
"We look forward to updating the market in due course."
At 1514 BST, shares in Catenae Innovation were down 14.71% at 2.9p.
