LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Restaurant operator Comptoir Group confirmed plans to start reopening some of its sites from 4 July on Tuesday.
The AIM-traded firm, which focuses on Lebanese and Meditteranean cuisine, said that following the government announcement on 23 June, it would reopen venues in phases and in line with recommended safety guidelines.
At the current stage, it had not completed its review as to which restaurants may stay closed permanently.
"As reported at the full year results of the company, the group went into the Covid-19 pandemic with 30 restaurants, including six franchised sites," the board said in its statement.
"The directors are in discussions with all its restaurant landlords about future lease obligations.
"The directors expect the outcome of these discussions and the support it receives from landlords to influence how many restaurants the company operates going forward."
Comptoir Group said it would provide further updates "as appropriate".
At 1232 BST, shares in Comptoir Group were down 13.98% at 4p.
