LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Aviation services business John Menzies said on Monday that it has secured contract wins and renewals at four UK airports.
At London Heathrow, Menzies World Cargo has renewed its cargo services contract with long-standing customer EgyptAir for a three-year term.

At London Gatwick, meanwhile, the company has been appointed passenger and ramp handling partner to Kuwaiti-based carrier Jazeera Airway. From June, Jazeera Airways will begin a new six-weekly route, operated by an A320neo aircraft.

Meanwhile, IAG-owned Level has selected Menzies as its ground handler of choice at London Luton, where it is due to start operations for the first time, with six weekly flights to Amsterdam Airport operating on an A321 aircraft.

At Glasgow airport, WestJet has extended its agreement for passenger, flight ops, ramp handling and de-icing services. Menzies has been WestJet's ground handling partner since 2015.

Interim chief executive Giles Wilson said: "It is great to see some momentum across the UK business. Not only is this growth coming from new contract wins, but also multiple contract renewals, a testament to the great work of the Menzies team on the ground. I look forward to further successes as the year progresses."

Numis said the contract wins and renewals represent around 20% of group revenues in its model.

"Welcome news, in our view, confirming momentum in the UK business," it said.

At 1120 BST, the shares were down 0.3% at 483.52p.
