LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Kidney disease diagnostics developer Renalytix announced the expansion of insurance coverage in the US for its flagship product KidneyIntelX on Monday.
The AIM-traded firm said the expansion was secured with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield- the largest healthcare plan in the mid-Atlantic region, serving 3.4 million members around Washington - in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and northern Virginia.
It said the partnership also included coverage for the Federal Employee Program (FEP), which is part of the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) programme administered by CareFirst.
"This agreement complements coverage already secured with Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield in Iowa and South Dakota - estimated 2.1 million covered lives- and BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois - estimated 8.1 million covered lives," the Renalytix board said in its statement.
At 1118 BST, shares in Renalytix were up 1.6% in London, at 88.9p.
