LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - All eyes on Tuesday will be on the June employment report.


Consensus is for the rate of unemployment to have held at 4.8% over the latest three months, although the rate of increase in average weekly earnings is seen picking up from 7.3% to 8.6%.

For their part, economists at Barclays Research said they would be watching the HMRC data to see whether the decline in furlough numbers reflects people who have remained employed or workers who had been detached from their employer.

They also said that they would be watching for any reduction in the still high levels of inactivity.

A barrage of economic indicators are due out Stateside, with the July retail sales report perhaps the most important of those.

Economists forecasts are for a 0.2% month-on-month dip in total sales following the prior month's 0.6% gain.

Across the Channel meanwhile, at 1000 BST, Eurostat will publish a final reading on the euro area's second quarter gross domestic product and for employment in the bloc over that same period.



For Just Eat Takeaway.com's interims, UBS analyst, Sreehar Mahamkali, jas penciled-in an EBITDA loss of €241m, versus consensus on -€132m.

In his opinion, while the company has guided towards a "trend back towards profitability" going forwards, he expected investors would wantto know about more just how profitable the company expected to be and of what the main drivers would be.

Revenues were seen 170% higher to €2.79bn and up by 77% outside the US at €1.8bn, with the UK driving the latter.
