LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - The publication of Alphawave IP Group's audited results has been delayed further, the UK chipmaker said on Wednesday.
The firm asked for its shares to be suspended last month, after its external auditor said it needed more time to complete its internal oversight and assurance processes before issuing the formal audit opinion.

At the time, it said the audited numbers would likely be published on 12 May. However, in a brief statement issued on Wednesday, the company confirmed it had now pushed that deadline back further, to the week commencing 15 May.

Alphawave said the external auditor had requested "a short amount of additional time" to finish the audit.

Alphawave, which trades as Alphawave Semi, has made a series of acquisitions over the last year, leading to a 114% surge in annual revenues to $192.4m, and a 44% jump in underlying earnings, while its headcount has swelled by 366%.

It previously said that the audit was already "substantially complete" and that it does not expect any changes to the preliminary results.
