LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Artemis Resources reported promising results from its lithium exploration programme on the Osborne joint venture tenement in the Karratha region of Western Australia on Monday.
The AIM-traded company recently conducted infill assays at Osborne, which returned a peak lithium grade of 1.82% lithium oxide in rock chip samples.
It said the encouraging results were part of its ongoing efforts to explore and assess lithium resources in the region.
The Osborne joint venture, in which Artemis holds a 49% stake, had consistently demonstrated high-grade lithium potential along the Kobe trend, spanning 7.5 kilometres in total length, with roughly 1.5 kilometres falling within the Osborne tenement.
Additionally, the exploration efforts expanded the known lithium-bearing pegmatite trends within Osborne to around 5.5 kilometres of strike length.
In addition to the exploration progress, Artemis said it had completed a heritage survey at the Osborne joint venture, fulfilling necessary environmental and cultural requirements.
"Given the level of activity in the region and the success of Azure Minerals project to the east of our tenements, we are pleased with the continued success of the Osborne joint venture in returning high levels of lithium oxide in the rock chip assays," said executive chairman Guy Robertson.
"We look forward to a successful maiden drilling programme being undertaken by our joint venture partner Greentech Metals."
At 1029 GMT, shares in Artemis Resources were down 3.75% at 1.155p.
