LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Rio Tinto was on the list of director purchases on Friday, after it disclosed an investment made by an independent non-executive director.
The mining giant said Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz picked up 486 shares on 17 August.

Lloyd-Hurwitz paid AUD 102.68 (£51.67) for each share, valuing the transaction at a total of AUD 49,902.48.

Elsewhere, Aterian made a disclosure to the market after one of its directors picked up three million shares.

The company said Charles Bray bought the 3,000,000 shares on 17 August, in a single transaction in London.

Bray paid 0.85p for each share, valuing the transaction at £25,500.

At 1629 BST, shares in Rio Tinto Group were down 0.74% at 4,601.5p, while those in Aterian were 1.84% higher at 0.942p.
