View on Past Performance

The year yo 31st May 2002 saw continuing weakness in equity market and the unit price of the fund fell by a dissapointing 7.3%. Over the same period, the Fund's benchmark, a composite of 50% UK Equities and 50% Overseas Equities had an even greater negative return of 11.8%

Future Expectations

Periods of market weakness always throw up good individual stock buying opportunities and they are expecting to continue to find companies with excellent earnings prospects that are temporarily out of favour. As economic news improves they will still be looking for the bias of the portfolio to move steadily away from defensive areas to more aggresive growth opportunities.
