LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - A recent attack on British outsourcing giant Capita by Russian cybercriminals has been said to have been "far more serious" than the company has admitted.
According to the Times, personal bank account details, addresses, and passport photos have now been leaked on the internet after allegedly being stolen by hackers Black Basta.

Capita, which currently holds £6.5bn in government contracts with the NHS, the army, and the Cabinet Office, holds personal details of millions of members of the British public and admitted earlier in April that it had been infiltrated.

While Capita stated at the time that people's personal details had not been compromised, security experts now claim that personal information obtained from Capita has been touted for sale on the dark web.

As of 0930 BST, Capita shares were down 6.26% at 34.95p.
