LONDON (ShareCast) - Power and gas retailer Good Energy Group on Monday reported a 36% year-on-year rise in customers.
The company, which is challenging the "big six" energy providers, increased customers and market share, with a total of 132,000 customers against 97,000 last year.
Gas customers increased by 82% and electricity by 35% since last year.
Despite seeing a reduction in energy demand during the first six months of the year due to the mild winter, the company expects full-year performance to match its expectations.
The group said it was confident of more strong rises in customers and further development of new generation capacity.
It was voted top of the Which? energy company customer satisfaction survey for the third year in a row.
Good Energy's chief executive Juliet Davenport said: "Our strong customer growth so far this year demonstrates our offer of competitive pricing, 100% renewable electricity and award-winning customer service is compelling to an increasing number of consumers and businesses."
Shares were down 2.08% to 233.55p on Monday at 10:46.
