LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Ascent Resources confirmed on Monday that its joint venture partners had been informed by the Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO) that the integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC) permit had been confirmed as fully valid.
The AIM-traded firm said that meant no further appeals against the permit were possible.
It described the permit as being "crucially important" to both the company and to Slovenia, as it allowed the installation of a small processing facility which would enable Slovenian gas to be sold into the Slovenian national grid system.
As such, the award of the permit marked an "important step forward" for Ascent's field development plan.
"I am delighted that the IPPC Permit has been granted and we can continue to progress our plans to develop the Petišovci project to its significant potential," said Ascent Resources chief executive officer Colin Hutchinson.
