LONDON (ShareCast) - Advanced Medical Solutions (AMS), the AIM-listed medical technology firm, said it expects revenue and profit for 2013 to be in line with market expectations.
The company, which develops and manufactures would-care and wound-closure products, said that the good progress made in the first half has continued with growth continuing from silver alginate dressings and its ActivHeal, LiquiBand and RESORBA ranges.
"The board confirms that it expects both revenue and profitability for the full-year 2013 to be in line with current market expectations."
Consensus forecasts are for revenue of £57.5m and a pre-tax profit of £13.2m for the year ending December 31st, up from £52.6m and £10.8m the year before, respectively.
AMS also highlighted that it has repaid its term loan and will be debt-free by the end of the year.
Chairman Don Evans is to leave the board in two weeks, as previously announced, after 16 years at AMS.
He said: "I am delighted that the group continues to make such good progress and I am confident that this will continue under the experienced guidance of my successor, Peter Allen."
The stock was a down 0.42% at 106.56p in early trading on Tuesday, after having risen by over 66% since the start of the year.
