LONDON (ShareCast) - Christopher Harwood Bernard Mills, the Chief Executive Officer of North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust increased his stake in the firm last week with the purchase of 10,000 shares.
Mills bought the additional shares on August 9th for a price of 1,017.5p per share. The £101,750 transaction took his total holding to 3,215,449 ordinary shares, equal to a 22.39% interest.
The firm invests across a variety of sectors and regions but the majority of its investments (65.2% as at May 31st, the end of the first quarter) lie in the UK, while a over a quarter (29.5%) are located in the US. The group also has smaller investments in Europe and New Zealand.
Its biggest exposure in its portfolio was in investment companies (19.4% as at May 31st), while it also invests heavily in real health care, equipment and services (11.4% of total) and real estate (10.6%).
At the end of the first quarter, its basic net asset value was 1,606p, up 0.6% over the three-month period but down 6.0% year-on-year.
