LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Volex revealed on Wednesday that chairman Nathaniel Rothschild had acquired 500,000 ordinary shares in the AIM-listed electrical cable maker.

Rothschild, the heir apparent of Baron Jacob Rothschild, purchased the shares on Tuesday at an average price of 165.0p each, for a total value of £824,999.99.

Back in April, Volex said it expected its full-year sales to exceed $392.0m, rising from $372.0m in the prior year.

It said combined sales for February and March, being the period since the outbreak of the Covid-19 coronavirus, totalled $68.0m, up from $63.0m.

As of 1630 BST, Volex shares were up 6.95% at 177.0p.
