LONDON (ShareCast) - Keith Evans will step down from his role as chief executive officer of Tribal Group at the end of next month, the provider of software and services for education management confirmed on Tuesday.
In a short statement, Evans said he had decided to step down from the role he has occupied for the last five years as he sought a "a change in lifestyle".
"We have over the last few years transformed Tribal into a focused business in the growing education management market, providing strong foundations for continued good progress."
Company, which is listed on London's AIM junior market, said Evans will remain with the group until 31 December to assist with "a smooth management transition", adding that the search to individuate a replacement had already got underway.
"Keith was instrumental in the turnaround and restructuring of the group, helping to develop and implement the strategy that leaves Tribal now a strong business, well positioned in growing markets," said group chairman John Ormerod.
"He leaves behind a strong executive team which the board believes will continue to grow the group as a leading provider of technology solutions to the education market."
Tribal shares were down 8.13% to 144.00p at 10:23 on Tuesday.
