LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Data and analytics company GlobalData announced some board changes on Tuesday, confirming that Bernard Cragg would stand down as chairman at the close of its April annual general meeting.
The AIM-traded firm said Cragg had served six years as a non-executive director, followed by four years as chairman.

It also announced that his successor as independent non-executive chairman would be Murray Legg, who would assume the role with effect from the meeting.

Legg had been a non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee since 2016.

The board said he is a Chartered Accountant with more than 35 years of audit and advisory experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a partner for 24 years.

During that time he had senior management, governance and market-facing roles with major UK companies across a range of industry sectors, including the media sector.

In addition, the board said it intended to appoint additional non-executive directors in due course, one of which would succeed Legg as chairman of the audit committee.

At 1017 GMT, shares in GlobalData were up 1.08% at 1,379.7p.
