The investment objective of the fund is the achievement of long term capital growth.
Asian equity markets fell sharply in June on rising energy prices and inflation and growth concerns. All sectors fell with Industrials and Consumer discretionary the worst performing sectors. Philippines and China were the worst performing countries while Indonesia was the best performing.
Structurally Asia continues to look sound, although the sensitivity to market risk is rising. Countries with a large external surpluses, robust growth and proactive Central Banks are still likely to prevail. We focus on stocks in specific sectors with attractive risk reward/outcomes, defensive valuation and yield focus.
