LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Venture Capitalist Trust Unicorn said its portfolio's net asset value was up 8.5% in the quarter to 30 June 2015 at £119.4 m.
Unicorn, which holds a portfolio of AIM-listed stocks, said at 30 June 2015 unaudited NAV was 148.4p per share, compared to an unaudited NAV of 137.0p per share as at 31 March 2015.
The investment trust said the most notable performance came from its investment in butchers Crawshaw Group, which posted pre-tax profit up 20% in 2015.
Unicorn said while some of investments performed poorly this was due to normal market movement rather than operational issues or disappointing trading.
Shares in the stock were down 0.76% to 130.50 at 1519 BST.
