LONDON (ShareCast) - Precious metal explorer Noricum Gold reported positive test results at a scheme in southern Austria, putting a sparkle in its shares.
Noricum said it had unearthed "multiple coherent gold and copper in soil anomalies" during sampling from four target areas at its wholly owned Schonberg project.
It plans to carry out final infill sampling in the next few weeks and to do about 3,000 metres of diamond drilling at three locations to test multiple, deeper, high-grade copper targets.
Noricum Gold Managing Director Greg Kuenzel said: "As we approach the end of our soil sampling programme, we continue to be pleased with the results and look forward to testing the mineralisation at Schonberg at depth."
Shares in Noricum rose 0.02p or 4.7% to 0.56p at 13:53 in London.
