FTSE 250 movers: Lonmin tracks mining sector lower, Playtech boosted by higher price target

Date: Monday 13 Apr 2015

LONDON (ShareCast) - Lonmin was in the red as Citigroup downgraded its rating on the stock to 'neutral'. Citigroup downgraded its stance on the wider mining sector on Monday to 'neutral' from 'bullish', saying that upside is "now capped" by weaker iron ore prices.
BlackRock Mining was trading lower, as chief investment strategist Russ Koestrich warned on Sunday that the tightening of US monetary policy could prove difficult for many investors to deal with.

IMI, the UK-listed engineer, was weaker as it had its rating lowered to 'hold' from 'buy' at Investec Securities.

Meanwhile precious metal miners Acacia Mining and Centamin were faring better, with both making gains.

Playtech was boosted as analysts at Citigroup raised their price target on the stock from 840p to 955p.
