LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Remote locations service provider RA International has been awarded a new contract by the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) to provide vehicle and equipment fleet operation and first line maintenance services in up to 10 locations, it announced on Friday.
The AIM-traded firm said that under a previous agreement, it provided those services to UNSOS in one location.

It said the contract would run for up to five years with work set to start in June.

The total five-year value of the contract was $9.8m.

"We are proud to be part of UNSOS' continued efforts in Somalia," said RA International chief executive officer Soraya Narfeldt.

"It's encouraging to be awarded this contract as it not only demonstrates the trust our clients have in our capabilities to carry out critical projects in challenging conditions but reinforces the strength of our value-added services to support them during this period and beyond."
