Europe open: Shares higher despite increased geopolitical tensions

(Sharecast News) - European shares were higher despite increasing tensions between the leaders of Ukraine and the US over the war with Russia.
The pan-regional Stoxx 600 was up 0.17% at 553 in early trade with most major bourses higher except Britain's FTSE 100, which was down 0.23%.
