(Sharecast News) - London stocks ended Thursday in negative territory, weighed down by corporate earnings releases and the market's response to the new Labour government's budget unveiled on Wednesday.

The FTSE 100 index fell 0.61% to 8,110.10 points, while the FTSE 250 dropped 1.47% to 20,388.96 points.
