Wednesday preview: US ADP report, global factory PMIs in focus

(Sharecast News) - Financial markets' focus will start to shift towards the US jobs market at the start of the month with the results of a closely-followed survey due out.
Consultancy ADP is expected to report that private sector payrolls rose by 515,000 in November, after a 571,000 gain in October.
That reading will come two days before the release of the US non-farm payrolls report, which is expected to reveal a similar increase.
A raft of manufacturing survey results covering that same month are also scheduled to be published in, China, the UK, euro area and US and may give investors a better feel for how economies were faring just before Omicron appeared on stage.
The former in particular will be of interest given the upside surprise yielded by the official survey that was published just the day before.
Fed boss Jerome Powell and the head of the US Treasury, Janet Yellen, will testify again on Wednesday, this time before a panel in the US House of Representatives.
Late in the US session, and roughly a fortnight before its next policy meeting, the Fed will also release its so-called 'Beige Book' of anecdotal evidence on the economy.
